Why We Built This Site
Iowa Courts Online provides public case-level docket information, but Iowa does not offer a complete public statewide warrant database. The restricted IOWA System is for criminal-justice agencies. Harrison County also has no separate municipal or justice-of-the-peace court system for criminal and traffic case administration. This site explains when to use the Harrison County Clerk of Court for a case or setting and when to contact the Sheriff’s Office about operational matters. A blank public search result is never presented as proof that no warrant exists.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant lookups: how to run a warrant search by name and date of birth through the sheriff and the courts
- Outstanding warrants: how to check for active warrants and what an "active" status actually means
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise and which court holds them
- Charge-based warrants: how arrest warrants are issued and served in Harrison County
- Resolving a warrant: the steps to resolve a warrant, from talking to an attorney to posting bond and a motion to recall or quash
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no affiliation to the Iowa Judicial Branch, Harrison County, the Sheriff’s Office, or any other government body. Those limits mean we cannot:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or warrant listing on this site is current right now
Only the responsible court or law-enforcement office can verify whether a warrant is current, served, recalled, or confidential. The Clerk of Court and Sheriff’s Office provide the official Harrison County routes.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes appearing on some pages. Each provider controls its own service, prices, and results. We may receive a referral fee when a visitor follows one of those tools and purchases a service, which supports free access to this website. Third-party output is not an official Harrison County warrant confirmation, and we do not control its accuracy or cost.
